At the SportAccord Convention in Lausanne the President of FINA was delighted with the new design concept and with the stand of the 2017 Budapest Aquatics World Championships.
The president of FINA, Julio Cesar Maglione visited the stand of the 2017 Swimming World Championships to be held in Budapest, at the international forum of SportAccord, where he could observe the new design in a unique surrounding. The fresh visual elements were first presented to the public and to the representatives of Hungarian media just one day earlier by dr. Miklós Sesztak, President of the Organising Committee.
“We believe that the local and the international presentation of the new design concept is a major milestone, which gives us fresh impetus for our future work and efforts. It is important to highlight that the creating artist is a young student, Ferenc Hetsch from KREA Contemporary Art School, who prepared the design plans as part of an examination. By doing so he came up with a real added value for the upcoming World Championships” – said Éva Szántó, managing director of BP2017 Ltd., the organizing company behind the event.
