László Kiss, head coach of the National Team Hungary is counting on the “Future Champions” at the FINA World Championship in 2017

The number of members of the Hungarian Team could be up to 30 at the FINA World Championship 2017 in Budapest and Balatonfüred, who could enjoy the rare advantages of the home-pool- told László Kiss to the official page of the Championship. The internationally well-known coach had the pleasure to inform us, talented members of “Future Champions” (Jövő Bajnokai Program) –responsible for sport development and second-line- will have surely the opportunity to show themselves. Their real chance to show their talent are going to be the international contests following the FINA World Championship, like the FINA World Junior Championship in 2019 in Budapest as well, and the Olympic Games of Tokyo in 2020.

„The number of members of the Hungarian Olympic Team going to be between the number of  22-24 probably, we can come to this conclusion because of the number of the already won quotas, and the chances till the deadline of the qualification. The talented Hungarians can prove themselves at the Hungarian National Championship in Győr, in April, and at the European Championship in London, in May. The Youth can have a perfect opportunity to show their talent at the Junior European Championship in Hódmezővásárhely (HUN) in July” - cleared the head coach.

“Thousand Promises in the horizon”

The national team joins together several generations and age-groups. The present number of the national team is 110, but László Kiss head-coach, and András Hargitay dr. head coach of the youth team keep an eye on 1000 talented young swimmers, who are taking part in the Program “Future Champions”. They visit every month new regional centres, accompanied by members of the medical team, who examine the health conditions, growth and laxity of youth swimmers. Nevertheless the medical team’s attention includes the special care of prevention the shoulder injuries.

“Carrier-lengthen” World championship

“After the successful European Championships in 2006, and 2010 in Budapest, and the Championship in 2012 in Debrecen, the 2017 FINA WCH is going to be the first World Championship in Hungary. – told László Kiss. More well-known and successful would probably consider to retire after the Olympics in Rio, but thanks to the brave jump, that we are organising the top event next year, not in 2021, it offers an opportunity to “out goings” to make their  carrier longer.

“It is going to be huge motivation and honour for new members of the nation team next year to be in the same team with our world champions, Katinka Hosszú, László Cseh, Dániel Gyurta and Dávid Verrasztó.  They could not get more important pieces of advices for the journey in the world of swimming.” –said László Kiss
