Women’s water polo: team US won a high quality tournament in Hungary

Home team of the 17th FINA World Championships organised a preparation tournament in Miskolctapolca. American ladies were the most successful during this weekend.

Hungary (European Champion, 4th placed team in Rio), the United States (Olympic, World and World League Champion), Australia (4th placed team in Kazan and 6th placed in Rio) and New Zealand (World Championships participant also) played important preparation games during this tournament.

Surprisingly enough, Australia made a tie with Hungary, the home team beat New Zealand easily while Americans won all their matches including the one against Hungary (10 to 8).

Adam Krikorian, head coach and players of the team could be satisfied at the end of the tournament.
