JOÓ Sára (HUN), 28.91, finished 33rd place with a new personal record in women's 50m backstroke:
"I am very happy that I could swim a personal best in the morning, as it was my main goal. I could pull myself together for this year and you can see that from my performance. I have already swum in front of a home crowd at the European Championships two times, but this one has a completely different atmosphere. It was fantastic to race in front of my family and friends at a World Championships"
BOHUS Richárd (HUN), 48.87, finished 18th place in men's 100m freestyle:
"It could have been good, but we didn't calculate with the World Championships 3rd place. Maybe we swam too much. I got really tired as I put all my strength into it, it was enough for only this, sadly"
KOZMA Dominik (HUN), 48.89, finished 21st in men's 100m freestyle:
"It wasn't a bad swim, but the time was worse than I had expected. Simply, I couldn't switch from 200m rhythm to 100m and I couldn't gather enough pace. But now at least I will have one and a half day rest and I will try to relax and set a few things right..."
SZILÁGYI Liliána (HUN), 2:07.73, reached the final with the 5th best time in women's 200m butterfly:
"I'm very happy that I managed to do this swim so well. After the 100m swim, I figured out a new technique and tried that one, apparently it was successful. I'm completely satisfied with my time too, it is a good result, especially in the morning. I enjoyed the heat, I'm looking forward to a very exciting semifinal."
SÓS Dániel (HUN), 2:01.54, finished 22nd position in men's 200m medley:
"I have never swum a better time in the morning, therefore I could be content, but I'm not because this time doesn't reflect the work and effort I put into the training, that's why I'm disappointed. Besides the final exam, I managed to train at 110% and now it seems it was not enough. I would have wanted to advance to the next heat, but I didn't manage to do so. Maybe it all depended on the speed as in the junior field, opponents were afraid of my burst of speed, but now I lacked such freshness, I couldn't innovate my swim."
WORRELL Kelsi (USA), 3:40.28, set a new WR in mixed 4x100m Medley Relay:
"I wouldn't say we expected this World Record, but we were hoping for it. I'm so happy that we could bring it all together, and we're pleased with the result obviously. It's amazing to finish off the morning for team USA this way."
COMERFORD Mallory (USA), 3:40.28, set a new WR in mixed 4x100m Medley Relay:
"For me, it is just so exciting to be on a relay with these guys, and it was a lot of fun, and of course, it is always great to represent team USA."
GYURTA Dániel (HUN), the Hungarian team were disqualified in mixed 4x100m medley relay:
"I'm very sorry that we were disqualified. We were happy that we could swim a time which is worth a final. I hear it from you firstly that we didn't change well with Gábor and that's the reason we can't be in the final. We practised changing a lot yesterday and it went well. It seems it didn't go well today."
