The two mascots of the 17th FINA Worlds Championships visited great mountains in the French Alps. On their journey around the world to spread the news about the upcoming FINA World Championships in Hungary, Lili and Lali this time passed Briancon, the second highest city in Europe. Upon finishing the trip, the water liliy mascots found themselves on no less than 2700 metres high, in the lovely town of Les Orres.

Lali: ‘I have never been up that high before without a plane. Although I tried high-diving many times, I have not risked it there. I just slid down with my snowboard. In the evening, we enjoyed many concerts thanks to the music festival nearby.’

Lili: ‘We had such a great time, standing at the very top of a mountain and taking pictures, it was just amazing. It felt like, we are on the top of the world. I did not want to come down, but the only thing you could find there was snow – and we have many things to do until the rapidly approaching FINA World Championships, so finally we descended. I was pretty scared on the ski-lift, however Lali and my friends assured me that everything would be fine, and just as always, they were right.’
